2016 Garden meeting will be held at the East Brunswick Public Library meeting rooms 2 and 3. Start time will be 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
Please plan to attend and bring any questions you may have.

Fall Community Garden Clean Up day is scheduled for Sunday, November 1 from 9 AM to 1 PM.
This is for community garden cleanup NOT personal plot cleanup.
As a reminder, every gardener is to put in 4 hours of community garden service or pay $20 for buyout. If you have not put in your hours, this is a great time to get it done. Any gardener who fails to put in their 4 hours or do the buyout will not be able to renew for next year.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 30-50 minutes depending on your oven.
Crust: 4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3 sticks oleo (or an equivilent amount of Brummel & Brown)
Combine until crumbly. Press 1/2 of crust mixture into 11' by 14' pan. To remaining crust (the other half), add 1 tsp. cinnamon. Mix and sprinkle over top of filling-see below.

Park Ranger has notified us that people parking in the handicapped reserved area down at the end of garden may be ticketed if caught parking without proper handicapped sticker/tag. This carries a hefty $250 fine.
If you are dropping off items, drop them off and go park car in municipal lot or library lot. Then you can pick up your items on the way back.
Park Ranger seems to be present quite a bit.

We will have a garden meeting on March 25 7-8:30 for new gardeners. Returning gardeners are not required to attend but are welcomed. We are trying to get the Senior Center as a meeting place.
March 28 - Spring garden workday 9 am - 12 noon.
April 18 - Official garden opening (weather permitting). This means that the water will be turned on and hoses hooked up.

This year we are offering one or two year renewals for returning gardeners.
If you register for 2015, you may continue to garden throughout the year.

Reminder that we will have our Fall Potluck picnic on October 11 (Saturday) from 2 - 4. We will be offering prizes and surprises so be sure to attend.
We will now offer a 2 year renewal ($20 total) or a single year renewal ($10) for returning gardeners. You will have the option to renew and pay at the picnic for your convenience.
